Information I Collect

I may collect the following types of information:

• What you enter in a form: name, email address and your message, and, if you fill them in, company and subject
• Only with your consent: usage data about how you interact with my website
• Technical data such as IP address, browser type and device information, which come with every visit to a website
• Your cookie choice, and only with your consent data from analytics cookies and similar technologies

How I Use Your Information

I use the collected information for:

• Providing and improving my services
• Communicating with you about inquiries and updates
• Only with your consent: analysing website usage and browser errors to improve the site
• Complying with legal obligations

Consent and cookie settings

On your first visit you choose in the cookie notice: necessary only, allow analytics or allow all. Before that choice no analytics or marketing script loads. I keep your choice in your browser (in local storage and in a first-party cookie valid for one year), so the notice does not return on every visit.

Analytics and error reports in the browser

Only if you allow analytics (or all) do I use the following services. The legal basis is your consent.

• Google Analytics 4 (Google): page views and use of the site. The script sets the cookies _ga and _ga_* for this.
• PostHog (PostHog Inc., hosted in the EU): page views, clicks, session recordings of what happens on the page (what you type into input fields is masked) and technical errors in the browser. The traffic goes through my own domain, and PostHog is configured not to store your IP address. After your consent PostHog keeps a random visitor id in a cookie and in local storage; before it, nothing.

If you withdraw your consent, PostHog stops measuring and writes nothing more to your browser, Google Analytics sends no more data, and the site deletes the Google Analytics cookies.

The choice "Allow all" also gives consent for marketing. At the moment the site loads no marketing scripts.

Error reports from the server

If something goes wrong on the server, the site sends a technical error report to PostHog: the error, the page path without query parameters and the software version. It contains no personal data: no IP address, no cookies and no profile. This happens regardless of your cookie choice, based on my legitimate interest in a working and secure website.

Forms and email

If you send a message through a form on this site, it goes by email to my mailbox through the email service Resend, and you receive a confirmation at the email address you gave. The site does not store your message in a database or customer system.

Information Sharing

I do not sell your personal information. The following service providers process data on my behalf:

• Vercel: hosting of the website
• PostHog Inc.: analytics and error reports, hosted in the EU
• Google: Google Analytics 4, only after your consent
• Resend: sending the email from the forms

Data Security

I implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Right to access your personal data
• Right to request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to request deletion of your data
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing

Cookies

The only necessary storage is your cookie choice. The site sets analytics cookies only after your consent, as described above. The cookie policy has more detail.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the 'Last updated' date.
